Maho Bay

Maho Bay is one of the best protected beaches on St. John and is often a top pick for calm water, relaxing, turtles, and easy snorkeling.

Best in moderate to strong east, northeast, southeast, south, or southwest winds because the bay is protected. It is often the safest recommendation when the wind is up.

• Excellent for calm water days.
• Good snorkeling potential, especially when conditions are settled.
• Morning can be especially nice.
• Leave well before sunset because bugs can become an issue late day.
